Rules & Regulations

A Catholic Cemetery is a sacred place. It is a place where many visitors come to remember, pray for, and memorialize their loved ones. Throughout these times, a significant number of personnel work diligently to maintain and improve the cemetery grounds and provide respectful service to all. As members of the Body of Christ we are all working together for the glory of our Lord and the salvation of all of His people. As we participate together in these corporal and spiritual works of mercy, we ask that you cooperate with us in maintaining the safety and sacredness of our cemetery. We ask you to please read and adhere to the following regulations and feel free to contact us if you have any questions. Peace be with you.

THE FOLLOWING ARE A GENERAL ITEMIZATION OF THE RULES AND REGULATIONS WHICH GOVERN THIS CEMETERY, THEY ARE NOT TO BE CONSIDERED ALL-INCLUSIVE:

General Rules & Regulations2019-01-08T18:53:36-05:00

1. A temporary grave marker will be placed on a gravesite for a period of about 90 days.
2. Before a permanent marker or monument may be ordered or placed on a gravesite, all gravesites must be paid in full.
3. Gravesites, mausoleum crypts or niches to be used must be paid in full.
4. Final approval of design for markers is reserved for the cemetery Management.
5. A sealed metal casket is required for all entombments in the mausoleum.
6. Burials, Inurnments and Entombments held after 4:00 p.m. weekdays and on Saturday after 2:30 p.m. require an additional premium.
7. The Management reserves the right to regulate the method of decoration of gravesites so that uniform beauty and safety may be maintained.
8. When purchasing an urn, please check with the cemetery for the dimensions of the niche, to ensure that the urn will fit in the niche.
9. All flower vases must be installed with the approval and under the direction of the Management.

Monument Rules & Regulations2019-01-08T18:48:45-05:00

1. Upright monuments are permitted only in designated areas in the monument sections.
2. A minimum of two or four gravesites are required and all gravesites must be paid in full before the installation of a monument.
3. Monuments will be limited to design and to size per section and must be approved by Management.
4. Individual names may be designated by foot markers 2′ x 1′ or 24″ x 14″ with a vase approved by Management.
5. Foot markers must match material of monument.
6. Height restriction is seven feet (7′) for four (4) and two (2) grave lots, and must be approved by Management.
7. It is necessary to contact the cemetery to schedule installation of a monument and for a fee schedule.

Flower Regulations2019-01-08T18:50:36-05:00
  1. The cemetery reserves the right to regulate the method of decorations of plots so that uniform beauty and safety may be maintained. The use of breakable containers, boxes, shells, toys, candles, metal designs, balloons, windmills, ornaments, etc., are not permitted on any plot and such articles shall be removed immediately by cemetery personnel.
  2. The Management shall not be liable for vases, floral pieces, baskets or flowers in which or to which such floral pieces are attached, beyond the acceptance of such floral pieces for the funeral services held in the cemetery.
  3. Floral frames which are not removed within three (3) days of the day of the funeral by those lawfully entitled to them, will be removed and disposed by cemetery personnel. No summer baskets or summer wreaths shall be permitted.
  4. Flags may not be displayed and are not permitted except on Memorial Day, Veterans Day, and Independence Day, and must be removed by the following day. The digging of holes for any purpose is strictly prohibited.
  5. No coping, curbing, fencing, hedging, borders, enclosures or plantings of any kind are allowed around the gravesite. The cemetery reserves the right of removal without notice.
  6. Fresh or silk flowers or potted plants are permitted in the interment sections. There is a limitation of two pieces not to exceed eight (8) inches in diameter each. All flowers must be in an unbreakable vase. Flowers size should be displayed on the niche/crypt in such manner that they are not encroaching on other niches or crypts.
  7. Only candles/battery operated lights approved by this cemetery are permitted.
Mausoleum Regulations2019-01-08T18:51:22-05:00
  1. Only crypts or niches with vases attached to the crypt front by the cemetery personnel will be allowed to hold flowers. All others will be removed.
  2. No articles are to be placed on the mausoleum floor.
  3. Dead flowers will be removed daily, along with any other prohibited articles.
  4. No flowers or vases of any kind may be attached to the marble front of the crypt or niches in the mausoleum area, except those approved and installed by this cemetery.
  5. No pictures are permitted anywhere in the cemetery, unless manufactured specifically for cemetery use and approved by this cemetery.
  6. Nothing is to be taped or glued to the mausoleum.
  7. No animals of any kind are allowed on cemetery property, except guide dogs.
Christmas Regulations2019-01-08T18:51:56-05:00
  1. No battery operated lights except those approved by this cemetery. No blankets.
  2. Everything that does not conform to regulations will be removed, including balloons, and oversized wreaths.
  3. All Christmas decorations will be removed on or shortly after January 7th. Christmas flowers may remain until March 1st.
